A record 49 entrants enjoyed the courses put on by Dorothy Smith at the newly updated Primrose Warren. Logger Dave Gourlay, a past winner here of Halo's 1997 sprint championships, returned to clinch first place 30 seconds ahead of Masters favourite Neil Harvatt in what looks to be a very open long course series.Andy Houlden followed up last week's run with a good sixth place and Super Vet Mark Tyszka had a great run to finish in the top half of the field. Just 31 seconds separated the leading 3 on a very competitive short course, producing a first win for Andy Paulls with Cleethorpes beachcomber Rob Gordon rapidly returning to form in third. LOG must be congratulated on turning out so many members for this event.
