Two challenging courses were set by organiser Mark Tyszka at runnable Nettleton Woods resulting in plenty of mistakes discussed afterwards at the Salutation Inn. The British mining industry seems to be witnessing something of a resurgence with a proliferation of new pits appearing in the wood since the last event here in 2000. Control 133 particularly tested navigation skills; though all controls were on features previously not used. Pete Harris repeated his Event 1 win on the short course as did Max Guscott on the long seconds ahead of Vet Neil Harvatt.Run of the day was undoubtedly the second place of Junior Ben Offler.
