Despite its lack of contours Laughton West provided a tough challenge particularly for long course competitors who found the numerous vegetation changes difficult to overcome. LOG vet John Bennett saw his challenge to the league table leaders evaporate as he pulled a hamstring ahead of LOG's training week in the Scottish Highlands. Planner Andrew Houlden's excellent short course witnessed a close battle between the three Halo ladies and LOG's Kaele Pilcher with the latter seconds in front of Erica Pilkinton. The ladies title is still open with 3 events to go. The improving Andy Furnell(LOG) had his best Poacher run to date 19 seconds ahead of Halo junior Ben Offler. Please note next week's results from Normanby Park will be on the website the following Monday due to holidays. Thanks to the people who provided some of the results of the 2000 series, still wanted all the 1997 results plus the following from 2000- Event 3 17 May Nettleton, Event 5 31 May Willingham, Event 6 7 June Pillar, Event 8 21 June Otby; can anyone locate them in their files?
