Swallow Vale proved to be a field day for Dean and son Zac who won their courses. There was another 50+ turnout, despite the cool and dank weather. Barkwith's Mel Clark grabbed second place on a tough short course set by planner Dave Offler with current Lady Poacher Champion Dorothy Smith, under pressure from Log's Kaele Pilcher, excelling in sixth place. On the long course Bawtry's Paul Beresford nearly sprung a surprise coming within a minute of the lead ahead of tied third placers Fiona and Neil. Steve Marin found the hilly going to his liking with a strong fifth ahead of a resurgent Andy Houlden. Nettleton returns next week after a two year gap.
