| The 2005 Series ended on a hot sunny evening at runnable Pillar Wood with planner Pete Harris providing the 2 courses with new control sites and some lengthy testing legs. Longcourser Peter Fulwood returned to clinch maximum points a minute ahead of trophy winner Dean Field with Masters Champion Neil Harvatt third. Log Junior Liam Harrington just edged clubmate John Bennett who was tied in fifth place with Beverly's Steve Marin; next in was Supervet Champion Mike Smith. John Butler warmed up for the Scottish 6 Days by winning the short in front of Zac Field who clinched the Junior trophy narrowly from a much improved Eleanor Humphrey. Regular participant Tracy Blackburn was a popular winner of the ladies category. Thanks to all competitors and planners who made the series so enjoyable. Poacher 2006 starts on Wednesday April 12th. |
