A combination of a cold March and the unexplainable dieback of brambles in recent years provided competitors with a very runnable forest, and fast times resulted. A mere 19 seconds separated the first three on the long course with 2005 Masters Champion Neil recording maximum points. Last year's Short Course Winner Grimsby's Lee Smith is making his presence felt with a very encouraging sixth. Junior Ben Offler also made the top ten. Yet another big entry on the short course was topped by Supervet Mike Smith- returning to full fitness. It was good to see 3 Juniors in the leading six and several 'bionic' vets, including former Ladies Champion Dorothy Smith, competing successfully. Many thanks to those who 'volunteered' to collect in controls at the end-much appreciated
