Summer and contours greeted competitors at Swallow Vale where planner Mark Tyszka made maximum use of the slopes of this small glacial valley. Six of the first eight on the Short Course were Juniors with young Ben Beresford making the journey from Nottinghamshire worthwhile with a fine win ahead of Grimsby's Mathew Walton-Lamming. Jake Field from Beverly, the youngest entrant, making his debut as an individual, did very well to come a close fifth. The leading 'lady' was Junior Holly Robinson from Grasby in seventh. Only 1999 Short Course Champion Henry Rayment and Hull's Peter Robinson managed to break the Junior stranglehold. The leading places on the Long went very much to form with Neil Harvatt making it 3 wins out 4. The revelation of 2006 is Tealby's Pete Harris who is now regularly scoring high points, on the night just edging former Master's Champion Dave Offler by 20 seconds. Next week parking at Nettleton will be at an Alpine Nursery-please adhere to the speed limit along the approach lane and keep out of the private areas around the car park.
