A weekend of urban orienteering in the City of Kingston upon Hull featuring:
Saturday 20th July: YHOA Sprint Championships (& Yorkshire Urban League event) on the main University of Hull campus.
Sunday 21st July: Nopesport Urban League (Race 9) & YUL event in the city centre incorporating the Old Town and Marina areas.

Final details available - follow link at foot of this page. The Start and registration area will be in the city centre (less than 10 minutes walk from the Hull rail station.) Car parking is free in the council's city centre surface car parks on Sundays. All these car parks are less than 15 minutes walking to the start/registration. For the Nopesport/YU League event, all standard Nopesport courses will be available to all competitors over 16 years. It is planned to provide a suitably challenging course for under-16s in line with BO safety requirements for that age group. The Urban courses will take in the many attractions of Hull, the Victoria Pier (Yorkshire's only Pier), the Marina area, the cobbled streets of the historic old town featuring the Museum and the Trinity Quarters. If you are lucky you will find the very spot where the English Civil War started (things are quieter now!) |
Entries |
Online entries via Fabian4 will be available from 1st June to 18th July. Online entry fees, £8 per event (£9 after 14th July), with concessions for Juniors & students and a discount (£3) for competitors entering both events online. Entry on the day, £10 per event with concessions, subject to map availability. |
Times |
Both events will start in the morning with first start times likely to be either 10.30 or 11.00. Start times will be allocated to online entries. |

E-mail: neilneilharvatt1.orangehome.co.uk ; Tel.: 07800 784255 In addition to two quality Orienteering events, Hull and the local area has many attractions, ranging from the sandy beaches of the east coast to the rich maritime heritage of Hull itself. Visit the largest parish church in the country (Holy Trinity) or the birthplace of William Wilberforce. Walk the historic cobbled streets of the old town or eat and drink in one of the city's many bars and restaurants. The attractions are too numerous to mention (don't forget The Deep).
