| Description | The New Year Day social will take place in and around Barmby Moor (YO42 4DG). Teams will consist of three runners (A, B and C) with as much balance as possible. It will be a 45 minute score event starting at midday - however there is a 15 minute walk to the start so please aim to arrive by 11.30 (parking is on a grass verge on Flat Lane or near the house).
It will not be a long course and I would expect the A runners to get all thirty controls - the issue for them is who will be the fastest. The B runners should get 20 to 25 controls and the C runners should get 15 to 20. As it is a short course ten controls will need to be completed in order to score points for each control.
The urban part of the course will involve crossing the Barmby to Pocklington road. The speed limit is 30mph in the village and there is a zebra crossing that can be used.
Please note that the road to our property is not shown on the map. Please do not follow the white part of the road as shown on Streetmap as you will only have to turn around and come all the way back. It will be signposted on the day at where the yellow part ends.
