| Description | Good to see a reasonable turnout for the second-ever only event on the South Cave Urban O-map! This time we presented an "odds & evens" Score competition. With a time limit of 45 minutes, competitors had 20 controls to try to collect, 10 odd numbered and 10 even numbered. The idea is that you must collect a string of the same type of control in sequence, decide at which point you need to switch to the opposite string to maximise your score. Once you switch you cannot go back to your first choice, if you do, they din't count!
Only one person managed all 20 controls withing the time limit, and the scores were well spread at the end of the competition. 10 points per part minute early were awarded as a bonus for anyone collecting all 20 controls within time, and 10 points per minute deducted for anyone over-running the 45 minute time limit.
The "winner" of the individual clocked around 9km's run over the time, so anyone who collected a good amount of controls also ran a fair distance!
After, when the individual results were collected, Charlotte toiled to produce the Team Scores - the first runner home was paired with the last scorer, 2nd highest with 2nd lowest, etc.,etc.
A grand Social was held in conjunction with the event, MANY thanks to Amanda as hostess, and David & Charlotte for the "hands on" food preparation!

Paul Simmons, 130 points, no recorded time but within the limit

Paul Bradbury, 190 points in 45:35 (10 point deduction for late time)
