We did not have to endure the flat 9 plus km runs on the Long but we did have to endure the climb and heat this week, which was equally tough, especially with the infamous Caistor ‘Sting In The Tail’. Kate’s local knowledge certainly helped in producing excellent well received courses on her urban planning debut. On the Long Mike C was able to see off the RAFO flyers and the other LOGgie speed merchants. With only a couple of HALOites in the top 12, Mike and David, the LUL team trophy is unlikely to be coming home. HALOites fared better on the Medium with Brian once again excelling just pipping Paul and good runs from Helena, Amanda, Corrine and Pete S. Good to see Karen competing again after her recent accident. Next week we return to the Lincoln area, Branston, which can be accessed via the new Eastern Bypass, which some SatNav’ s may not recognise. Thanks to Kite Collectors, Craig, Isoldt, David, Jason and Kate. Good luck to those having to endure the heat for 3 hours on Saturday at the LOG Wolds Mini Marathon - hope you don’t cramp up!!
