Firstly apologies to the early starters who were subjected to the locked gate adjacent to the Hall garden. Their times will be adjusted and points updated in due course. The fast and furious and at times frenetic format hopefully was popular again this year and Andrew was able to utilise the area fully mixing the woodland and open areas accordingly. The competition on the Long was as hot as ever between the two leading protagonists with only 3 seconds seperating them over the completed 7kms. Zac after his victory retains his title and can now focus on his exams. The other title contenders on the Long remain 'as is' with either the leaders on holiday, ill or mp. Best Series performances for Brian H,Brian S and Mary (now confirmed sprint specialists!). Also mention for Lawrence who was the fastest on the 3k but slowest on the 1k ?? (a case of mistaking that the gate was closed!). The Medium produced an excellent performance from Scott who on the night was the overall third fastest on the 1k & 1.5k Courses - some achievement. Still all to play for trophy wise (see last weeks report)but David's 49 points could be crucial over Yasmin's 47. Similarly on the Short, Emily and Marsaili look set to battle it out to the bitter end. When Marsaili plays her Joker as predicted will be crucial. Emily's min/km of 6.35 would have put her in 4th place on the Medium - some achievement. Next week the format is repeated at Cleethorpes CP, a venue not used for the Poacher for a number of years - hope the sun block will be required!
