A small band of committed night orienteers braved the horrendous driving conditions to take part on Noddle Hill. Three lorries laying side by side on top of the Ouse Bridge was my highlight. By the time the event started though the winds had died down and, apart from the cold, it was quite pleasant. Noddle Hill is not a large area, but there are lots of paths and ditches and small hills. It is mainly rough open, some of which is runnable, some populated by brambles - not easy to tell which is which in the dark! Well done to Joe who got all 20 controls and topped the handicap table. Thanks to Mary for helping me put the controls out. So as not to get an advantage in the event Mary deliberately didn't go to some of the controls she had put out - and still came third! Thanks to Mary, Tom and Paul also for collecting the controls in. Neil
