ReportThe last 10 weeks have certainly raced by with mixed weather, mixed attendances and mixed fortunes. As noted at the presentations the 9 competitors who committed to running at all the events together with the 5 planners who similarly attended all are worthy of a special mention.
So thanks Corrine, Kate, Andrew H, Andrew R, John, Liam, Sean, Mike and Liam for supporting the Series especially when only one of these live in Poacherland. Plus special thanks to Pete, Brian and Isoldt plus the other planners and kite collectors.
Only one trophy was at stake and Elspeth was focused and fit enough to win on the night and take the Medium title from her rival Hannah, who had to be content with the Ladies trophy. Congratulations to other trophy winners Liam, Paul, Kate the two Pete’s, Flora and Georgia plus Jackie the inaugural recipient of the Carpe Dieum trophy for top Ladies Medium Supervet. The nights Course winners’ were Liam, Elspeth and Mary V, the latter although finished first in the Short League Table after although injured this season was ineligible for the trophy as it is Poacher tradition that the recipient is the top Junior.
Now onto the LUL on Wednesday evenings starting at Sleaford next week after this weekend where the action is at Gainsborough on Saturday and Witham St Hugh’s on Sunday.
