Report | Congratulations to Pete Shew - a great run tonight puts him top of the HALO Autumn Pub League. He only needed to finish second but he blasted away the opposition in this enclosed village on the bank of the Humber with old docks and parks to provide plenty of variety. Not to mention the views, The Humber Bridge in one direction and Siemens development in the other. Control 48 seemed to cause most problems with many competitors returning to say that it had been removed. Fortunately this was not the case and now a few more orienteers know the control description symbol for the south western tip of an open space!! Thanks to all the control collectors (David, Brian, Isoldt and Pete), I was able to stay in the pub and toast Pete's success. Hard luck to whoever finished second overall. |
