Northern Night Championships 2017. Deciduous woodland with a large open area to the east not previously used for orienteering. Area is on a well drained chalk escarpment with a variety of contour detail and good runnability. Starts from 18.00 - 19.00. Entry via Fabian4 strongly recommended as there will only be limited entry on the day. CLOSING DATE FOR ONLINE ENTRIES, WED. 15th FEB. Controller's comments Knapton is very runnable and I think a few people were quite pleasantly surprised. However, it did make for some fast times, although it did lead to errors in some cases through overshooting! I thought that the planner did a great job, and that the small helpers team did as well. Having hot soup at the end was a nice touch and very welcome. Mike Ridealgh
