Description | Regional Event, Yvette Baker Trophy 1st round - Primrose Hill, Scunthorpe. The event is open to all, not just juniors. String course confirmed. Will Team Managers from competing clubs inform Organiser, Neil Harvatt, of their contact details together with a rough idea of junior numbers taking part. Enter the woods on the layby immediately left after leaving North from the M180 at junction 4. Be aware of runners crossing this track. Parking on grassed area and on side of track approx. 500 metres from entrance. Entry on day only, but please inform Organiser by March 28th if bringing a large group of juniors. Registration (10am to 12 noon) will be in Scout Hut (follow track from car parking area). Starts (adjacent to registration) will be from 10:30 to 12:30 and courses close at 2:30. Terrain - The area is ideal for juniors, it is a private woodland, regularly used by Scouts, it is mainly flat with gentle slopes in the west. It is generally very runnable with a very good path/ride network. Map:1:7500 scale, recently updated, 5 m contours, A4 size on waterproof paper. Courses White to Blue. The courses for the Yvette baker Trophy are Yellow, Orange, Light Green and Green (see rules link below for course eligibility) Toilets available adjacent to registration. Dogs are not encouraged in the area due to the presence of scouts. They will be allowed in the car park areas only, so long as they are on leads at all times and any mess is cleared up. Report | One compass was found, possibly dropped by someone in a black fleece, contact the Organiser One sour note, despite instructions and marking on the map, one runner, in blue, was seen running along the road verges. if you know who you are and are prepared to own up, please contact the Organiser for the disqualification form. Many thanks to all the HALO helpers, who ensure the event ran smoothly. And a big well done to all the HALO juniors who took part, in particular Holly scoring 100 points and Flora and Elspeth scoring 99 points each.
