Saturday Event Rearranged from February. Four courses (White, Yellow, Orange and Technical) available, suitable for beginners up to the more experienced orienteer. The shorter courses will be within the playing fields. The longer courses will extend to an adjacent area with a good mix of woodland and open spaces. The technical course, which is part Norwegian includes a short urban section. Pay one fee (£3 adults / £1.50 juniors), attempt as many courses as time allows. Starts from 1pm to 3pm. Courses close at 3:30pm. Registration in tent in the KGV Sports Centre car park, Northgate, Cottingham HU16 5QW.
On a lovely crisp spring day, we had a very good turnout of newcomers to this event at Cottingham. Judging by the number of competitors who attempted more than one course I think it is safe to say they enjoyed it. Many thanks to Mary for planning the courses which included a Norwegian exercise for the more competent members to test their ability. Thanks to all members who came and helped out, especially Brian, Alex, Mary, Chris and Paul who collected controls at the end.
