Congratulations to Megan and Oli who planned the courses, Megan taking the lead role according to Oli. Thanks, you did a good job on your 1st event.
Well done the 3 winners, Oliver, Holly and Liam. Oliver and Holly were well in front of Henry and Lawrence, whereas Liam was taking a mere 7 second per km off Paul.
Neil and Pete presented the Poacher trophies and medals from a suitable grassy mound podium. Well done to the League winners who were enthusiastically applauded. They have put in the hard graft to get up there, so we do admire and respect them, but should also be inspire by them! Log were presented with the Lincolnshire Challenge Shield which was their's once again after being victorious over HALO at Cranwell's Prologue and (mass start)Chase on the 1st of June.
Planners, helpers and kite collectors for the whole series were also enthusiastically applauded.
Thank you the kite collectors on the night.
A cloud burst (minor in its nature) did not deter participants from enjoying a very sociable and proper picnic on the damp grass.
The LUL (Lincolnshire Urban League) starts today, Thursday 23rd 6pm., at Boultham Park, Lincoln - Bottesford next week. Not to be missed if you enjoy tramping the tarmac interspersed with comforting grassy moments.
